ART SHOWCASE

It would be impossible to talk about theater and the indigenous peoples without considering cosmology, ecology and resistance. That’s why TePI – Digital Platform Art Showcase puts together works from independent authorships bringing a gaze on man and nature relationship, questioning violences caused by environmental degradation and the Anthropocene hegemony.

In addition, Theater Shows, Performances and Dramatic Readings are given a complementary and not a hierarchical status in this Showcase, promoting the value of women, artists and LGBTQIA+ people in society, showing that the indigenous ancestrality is where these bodies long to occupy, also through the language, in the strength of their expressions and orality.

All performances interact with the forest people’s knowledge and collective practices, whether produced by indigenous artists or non-indigenous allies. The Art Showcase sets a plural biosphere of people who, each one in their own singular way, stomp their feet on the ground, sing and dance to open up new paths and to build new places.
