Circula TePI – International Exchange Program

Circula TePI was conceived as one of the platform main pillars once it articulates long-term outcomes directly engaging about 40 people.

The proposal is to grow the dialogue between indigenous artists and programmers from institutions and festivals. With the perspective of an integrated world with transcended borders where opportunities for movement also need to be encouraged. 

The program is grounded in the indigenous artistic and environmental movements and highlights the relevance of the indigenous presence in the fields of cultures and arts, strengthening the matters concerning their works and thoughts.

Confirmed participants from Brazil, Portugal, France, Kenya, Chile, Philippines, England, Austria, Canada, Argentina, USA, Germany, Switzerland etc.

In his opening talk, Ailton Krenak has been invited to recall what senses reverberate among the indigenous art internationalization, and the importance of exchange between indigenous artists from different places in the world.

In this gathering, the artists are invited to talk about their internationalization experiences and expose their views over the institutions’ and festivals’ regards for central matters such as the climate emergency, indigenous peoples rights and about collective survival strategies.]

CLOSED GATHERINGS

Another step of the program “Internationalization: crossing worlds through art” will be a round of virtual gatherings between national and international programmers and indigenous artists invited to present their works, exchange ideas and convergences. Programmers will previously get a file with all the artists’ portfolios, exclusively prepared by TePI in Portuguese and English.
